Will Middlebrooks and Jenny Dell Finally getting Married this Weekend

It’s finally happening.

The plot of perhaps one of the biggest off field stories in recent times for the Boston Red Sox thickens this weekend despite neither of them having anything to do with the Red Sox anymore. Will Middlebrooks and Jenny Dell are getting married this weekend in Arizona — Valentine’s Day weekend.

Of course, New Englanders must know those two names — the Red Sox starting third baseman on the 2013 World Series Championship team and the NESN sideline reporter who was at nearly every single one of those games that season. But when it was revealed that they were dating in 2014, Dell was fired from NESN and took a job with CBS Sports. Middlebrooks, on the other hand, struggled with plate discipline and was traded to the San Diego Padres in exchange for catcher Ryan Hanigan prior to the 2015 season.

Nowadays, Dell is the No. 2 NFL sideline reporter for CBS. So in reality, she may have gotten an even better job because of the incident. Middlebrooks was signed to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite by the Milwaukee Brewers this off season. So he is hoping to crack a big league roster spot last season. The past two years have not gone well for him and despite his 30 home run power potential, his severe lack of plate discipline has hindered his career.

According to The Boston Herald, the couple lives in Arizona — which is where the Brewers’ Spring Training facility is. So once again, everything works out for this couple brought together by the Red Sox.

Middlebrooks is 27 years old and Dell is 29 — she is set to turn 30 in July.

It is safe to assume Middlebrooks’ lifelong friend, NFL quarterback Ryan Mallett, will be in attendance.

Previously, Middlebrooks was engaged to Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Ann Lux. But they split in 2012.
