Where the Lobstah at?

Most New Englander’s have their spot so there is pretty much no wrong answer, but there are definitely some right answers.  Where is the best lobster roll in Boston and greater New England?

Boston is a city where you pretty much can’t get a bad lobster roll; even Logan Airport as some notable spots. According to Thrillist Magazine’s list, Neptune Oysters in Boston took home their 1st price, but not by much.

Their 4th choice is my personal favorite; Belle Isle seafood in East Boston/Winthrop has the best (IMO) amount of lobster meat, mayo and butter on their grilled buns.  Even Anthony Bourdain agrees; after being featured on his show, the restaurant expanded substantially.  Coincidence?  I think so.

As you work your way North up the New England coast, the options for a good roll get greater and greater.  Who can we leave out Woodman’s and Tom Shea’s in Essex?  Or Bob’s Clam Hut in Kittery, Maine?

If you’re unable to make it to one of these places, you will most likely be happy with your choice.  This part of the country does not mess around when it comes to our oceanic crustaceans!  What’s your favorite place to get a lobster roll?  Let us know!  Happy Summer!
