Tour Providence's Waterways From A Romantic Gondola

Known as the "Rennaisance City," Providence, Rhode Island may be the most romantic spot this side of Venice, Italy! Did you know that it even features gondola rides along the Providence and Woonasquatucket rivers?

La Gondola has promised "an authentic Venetian experience in the heart of Providence" since 2007 and has earned a sterling reputation as one of the city's most beloved attractions.

Each of La Gondola's three boats hold up to six passengers to accommodate large parties, but the trips are best enjoyed snuggled up close to the one you love.

A basic 40-minute trip will take you and your sweetie "past historical landmarks, through public parks, and under picturesque bridges."

For an even more amorous voyage, choose the Viaggio da Romanza package which includes two keepsake wine glasses, a set of specialty chocolates, a framed 5x7 photo, and a signature beverage.

Tours begin at 1 PM on weekdays and 10 AM on Saturday and Sunday, but the most romantic time for a cruise is at dusk when the city lights begin to illuminate the water.
