The Boston Harbor Walk is a public walkway that lies alongside the edge of piers, beaches and the shoreline around Boston Harbor. It is a walker’s dream and strolling down the Boston Harborwalk can be a great during any time of the day. Whether you’re a photo fanatic or not, the Boston Harbor Walk is a paradise with plenty of things to grab your attention such as cruise ships, great skyline views, sculpture, gardens and amazing architecture.

There are lots of sculptures placed along the Boston Harbor Walk made by artists such as Judy Kensley McKie, Tony Smith, Willem de Kooning, Sol Lewitt among many others. Given that the harbor walk stretches for miles the sculptures serve as landmarks. Some of the sculptures people and incidents like Robert Greene, a Firefighter at castle Island in South Boston, a Korean War Memorial in the Charlestown Navy Yard, A Native American Memorial and a memorial dedicated to the U.S. Maritime Service.

Historical Exhibitions

The Boston Harbor Walk has several indoor displays with historical exhibitions. The displays are open to visitors 24 hours a day. The Boston Harbor Hotel contains Norman B. Leventhal’s collection of Maps of the Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay. Boat lovers can enjoy the exhibition of boat models, photographs and boat building tools in the lobby of Building 114 at the Charlestown Navy Yard.

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum

Located at Columbia Point in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is a library built in memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The place is perfect for knowledge enthusiasts.
