This Weekend Marks The Boston Christmas Festival's Final Year

For 33 years the Seaport World Trade Center has hosted the beloved Boston Christmas Festival every November. The massive 100,000 square foot bazaar features hundreds of vendors selling handcrafted items and delicious Artisan foods.

Sadly, this November 8-10 marks the end of an era for the fair, due to the Trade Center's impending closure. 

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel - the event will continue at a new location beginning in 2020 at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun.

Those heading out to the fair this weekend can get a jump on their Christmas shopping at 350 pop-up shops. The aisles will be packed with seasonal decor, home accessories, fashion and jewelry, gourmet foods, and more.

Find something special for the children and babies on your list with homemade  quilts, bibs, clothing, dress-up items, and toys.

The "Specialty Foods" section offers infused barrel-aged maple syrups by Eric and Laura Sorkin; gluten-free options like cookies, brownies and whoopie pies by Ron Geoffroy of Salem, New Hampshire; and hand-dipped truffles by Dean Bingham of Portland, Maine.

Festival hours are Friday, 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults; free for children under 14.
