Simpsons to air Boston related episode

The Simpsons never ceases to run out of ideas. And for those who think they have nothing good left or they should have cancelled ten years ago, maybe this will change your mind.

This Sunday, October 9, they are set to air an episode called, “The Town”. Isn’t that the name of that movie with the… Yes. Yes it is. So yes, the episode is going to be about Boston.

On FOX’s website, here’s the info it gives on the episode:

“After Homer catches Bart rooting for Springfield’s football rival, the Boston Americans, he plans a family “hate-cation” trip to Boston in an attempt to show Bart that Boston is a terrible city.”

The Boston Americans? Well, I wonder what team that could really be?

hood

Hood. Yeah. So that looks like Bill Belichick. For those who aren’t familiar, that’s the head coach of the New England Patriots.

bonk

Bonk. Rhymes with Gronk. Rob Gronkowski. He’s the Patriots tight end. Even wearing the opposite number of his 87. Funny thing about that is 78 isn’t an eligible receiver’s number. But then again, you can’t argue with cartoon logic.

And finally…

tb12

Who’s this handsome devil? No. 12. I’ll let y’all figure that one out.

He was already on the Simpsons though — on the episode that aired shortly after the Patriots beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

It’s a TV show, hence why Brady is made to be arrogant and celebrating. Homer turned him into a showboat.

All that’s missing is Ernie Adams. Or who knows? Maybe he’s in it. But then again, who has actually seen him? Not many people.

It sounds like there will also be some stabs at Boston and the culture. As long as there’s no terrible Boston accents, that’s something. If there is, I might throw my remote at the TV.
