Save The Sign!

Boston’s legendary Citgo Sign is one step closer to becoming a landmark, but it’s not in the clear yet. Boston University is selling the building, and with that comes the risk that the owners could take the sign down. The very idea of this has gotten Boston residents and news outlets panicking. A petition was created to protect the Citgo sign by declaring it a landmark. So far the petition has about 5,000 signatures, and it seemed as if it’s working because the Boston Landmarks Commission voted to study whether the sign is a landmark or not.
