Providence's Plant City Will Completely Change The Way You Look At Vegan Food

Providence continues to be a center for creation and inspiration, and the new Plant City is no exception. This two-story market and food hall showcases many restaurants and bars that highlight mouthwatering vegetarian and vegan food. 

Sample vegan burgers, pizza, poke bowls, delicious takes on tempeh, desserts, and all manner of fast-casual yet super-healthy plant-based food!

Plant City debuted in Providence on June 14th and is home to six vegan food businesses, four restaurants, a cafe, and a market, all under one roof. 

This 10,000 square foot space can house up to 225 guests in its food hall, plus additional space in each restaurant. 

Plant City is the concept of Matthew Kenney, who has opened restaurants around the world, but has always had a special place in his heart for New England. 

Kenney was born in Connecticut and raised in coastal Maine where his love of food, nature, and healthy cooking began.  

Plant City's first level has several places to grab a cocktail and a bite to eat as well as a market to help you prepare you own meals at home. 

The second level has two unique restaurants for patrons to enjoy. Be sure to make reservations or simply stop in for a light bite and a cup of coffee. 

Plant City's hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to midnight Thursday and Sunday, and 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
