Pickleball is a cross between ping pong and tennis. It's played on a badminton-sized court with a paddle and a plastic ball that looks like a Wiffle ball.

Pickleball was created in 1965 by two friends, Joel Pritchard and Bill Bell, who were looking for something to do with their kids that wasn't as strenuous as tennis or as dangerous as golf. The original game was played with a wiffle ball and a plastic bat fashioned after a Ping-Pong paddle. Pickleball is played with two or four players use paddles to hit a small ball over a net, and the game is played in either singles or doubles. The rules of Pickleball are simple, and the game moves along at a brisk pace. Plus, it's perfect for any level of athleticism. Whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned athlete, it's is a great way to get some exercise and have some fun.
