Massachusetts Pop-Up Bars Have A Magical Christmas Theme

What could be more festive than a Holiday-themed cocktail bar?

This season three Massachusetts locations will join in the hottest trend in holiday nightlife by hosting Christmas-themed pop up bars.

 

Miracle is the brainchild of New York bar owner, Greg Boehm. In 2014, Boehm halted construction on his latest project, an East Village cocktail bar called Mace. On the advice of his mother, he turned the unfinished space into the first holiday pop-up.

The bar offered jolly winter cocktails amidst colorful lights, sparkling ornaments, ugly sweaters, and holiday music.

 

Needless to say, Miracle was a hit! Now in its fourth season, the franchise’s pop ups can be found in more than 50 international locations including Greece, Brazil, Panama, Canada and dozens of spots around the US – including Cambridge, Malden and Worcester.

 

The Kimpton Marlowe Hotel and Bambara Kitchen & Bar in Cambridge, along with Mystic Station in Malden and The Citizen in Worcester will all host their own versions of the festive cocktail club.

 

Try a Snowball Old Fashioned, made with gingerbread bourbon, wormwood bitters, and lemon zest or a Run Run Rudolph, with blanco tequila, coffee liqueur, iced hot chocolate, and Mexican spices.

Not your cup of tea? How about a Christmopolitan, Muletide, Bad Santa, How The Gimlet Stole Christmas, You’ll Shoot Your Rye Out or a Snowball Old Fashioned?

 

Depending on your mood, you can also sample the naughty and nice shots.

In keeping with the holiday theme, all drinks are served in festive glassware.

 

All Massachusetts locations of Miracle are open through December 24 unless otherwise specified. Check each business’ website for hours.

The original location in New York City will also return for its fourth year at Mace as Miracle on 9th Street.
