In case you forgot, the New England Patriots are good at football.

Not that anyone cares about the Pro Bowl because the New England Patriots are Super Bowl or bust every single year, but the initial teams were announced this week. Among them, four New England Patriots players were selected. Let’s take a look at who made the cut.

Tom Brady — Imagine my shock at this pick. It’s the 13th time this has happened over the course of his 18 year NFL career. He leads the NFL in passing yards (4,163). We could go on and on and on about everything this guy has achieved but really: who has time for that? He’s GOAT.

Rob Gronkowski — Fifth Pro Bowl in eight years? Not bad. Despite only playing in 12 games so far, Gronk leads all NFL tight ends in receiving yards (1,017). He is one of just three tight ends in NFL history with at least 1,000 receiving yards in four seasons. He’s also ninth all-time in receiving yards for a tight end (7,112).

Matthew Slater — The man is a special teams ace. He has been a captain of this team since 2011 and has earned seven straight Pro Bowl nods. He even caught a touchdown in the game once (not that anyone gives a flying feather). According to the Patriots website, he has led the special teams unit in tackles in five of his nine seasons with the team. How about we just look at some of his highlights (from earlier in his career)

James Develin — Awesome pick here. The true unsung hero in the Patriots offense. Fullbacks never get enough love because they’re blocking backs who don’t get the ball much themselves. He has no carries this season but has helped the Patriots amass 13 rushing touchdowns this season with his blocks. Again, you need to see him to appreciate him. Pretty good, huh?
