Head To Vermont To Ride One Of The World's Longest Alpine Slides

Bromley Mountain in Peru, Vermont is famous for incredible skiing and snowboarding in the winter months. But what about when the slopes are not covered in fresh powder?

The mountain still has one of the most fun and thrilling adventures around! It is home to a triple-stacked alpine slide that is the longest in Vermont as well as one of the longest in the USA - if not the entire world!

The slide is kid-friendly, but little ones must be at least three years old and 38 inches to ride. Kids under 48 inches ride free, but must be accompanied by an adult. 

An alpine slide is a channel you glide down in a specially-made platform sled that can accommodate one or two riders. The speed of the sled is controlled with a simple hand break during the breathtaking descent down the mountain.

Just how long is the Bromley alpine slide? It measures a full two thirds of a mile of twisty fiberglass!

While the ride down is thrilling, the chair ride up also offers tremendous views of the seasonal mountain foliage.
