Happy Truck Day!

Today marks the Red Sox annual Truck Day and the unofficial start to preseason baseball. What is truck day you ask? It’s the day the Sox load up their giant truck with tons of baseball gear and leave for Fort Meyers. According to MassLive, the truck will be loaded at 7am and leave for Florida around noon. Here’s what the truck will be carrying:

20,400 baseballs
1,100 bats
200 batting gloves
200 batting helmets
320 Batting Practice tops
160 white game jerseys
300 pairs of pants
400 t-shirts
400 pairs of socks
20 cases of bubble gum
60 cases of sunflower seeds
