Forget Hershey, PA – There’s An Amazing Chocolate Factory Right In Vermont!

The quaint and beautiful village of Stowe, Vermont is known for its hiking, skiing, festivals and art scene. It also happens to be home to an adorable little confectionary factory called Laughing Moon Chocolates.

Everything you’ll find at Laughing Moon Chocolates has been made on site or locally sourced whenever possible. they even make their own homemade marshmallows and caramel!

Laughing Moon no longer dips Oreo cookies, instead they purchase fresh-baked ginger, vanilla and chocolate cookies baked just for them by Sweet Crunch Bakery in Hyde Park, Vermont.

They also incorporate Vermont Peanut Butter, Mitzi’s Granola, Nutty Vermonter and Slopeside Syrup into their chocolates and use locally made liquors to flavor their signature truffles, including Green Mountain Distillers Sunshine Vodka and Maple Liquor.

In 2009 they “went green” with all natural, compostable packaging and made in the USA materials to reduce their carbon footprint.

Every delicious treat you’ll find at Laughing Moon Chocolates is created fresh daily. They invite patrons to stop by for free chocolate making demonstrations and samplings every day at 2 PM.

Once you have witnessed the friendly chocolatiers demonstrating how their most popular treats are made, you can even opt to make some of your very own!

They offer adult and family workshops, tailored specifically to the size and age range of your group.

When the holiday season rolls around, Laughing Moon also offers candy cane making demonstrations! Just like with the chocolate, demos are free, but there is a $6 fee to make your own peppermint stick.
