Meet The Fairmont Hotel's Newest Canine Ambassador

The Fairmont Hotel offers some of Boston's most luxurious accomodations, and yet they still manage to be extremely pet-friendly. In fact, they recently welcomed a new four legged friend. Cori Copley, a two year old Black Labrador, joined the staff as the hotel's newest canine ambassador.

She's ready and willing to welcome guests with a calming grin, a kiss on the face, and a warm belly to rub.

“It’s the happiest of times when a hotel introduces a resident dog, for both visitors and our employee family,” said George Terpilowski, general manager at Fairmont Copley Plaza, in a press release. “Cori’s presence gives the comfort of home to everyone, whether children, adults, conference attendees or neighborhood friends.”

Cori replaces the Fairmont's previous four-legged greeter Carly Copley who retired her post earlier this year. Carly took over the role from the hotel's original ambassador Catie Copley in 2013.

So far, Cori is adjusting well to hotel life. She even has her own Instragram page where you can keep track of her adventures.

The Fairmont sees Cori as a major asset to the company.  Not only is she adorable, she also helps guests - both human and fellow canine - feel at ease during their stay.

She accompanies guests on walks and runs and visits their rooms upon request. Cori fans can even purchase their own stuffed Cori in the hotel store or enjoy a Cori Cooler at the Oak Long Bar + Kitchen.

“Cori is still acclimating to the hotel environment, but already has a few sweet habits — she loves receiving belly rubs on the lobby carpet, and gives lots of puppy kisses when she meets new friends,” according to the release.

Cori was originally training to be a guide dog for the visually impaired, but her trainer felt she was “more suited to be a pet rather than a working dog.”

When she isn't working, Cori goes home with her caretaker, hotel concierge Joe Fallon. The pair work the same hours.

Cori will eventually represent the Fairmont at Charity events, but for now you can find her on Instagram - or in the hotel lobby during your next stay!
