Experience A Delicious Sugar High At Vermont's Annual Maple Festival

If you are anything like Buddy the Elf, then you LOVE syrup! Every good New Englander knows there are a thousand tasty ways to utilize the delicious sap that oozes from Vermont's maple trees each year.

To celebrate the sticky-sweet decadence of this tasty state staple, Vermont has hosted an Annual Maple Festival for the past 5 decades. The 52nd Vermont Maple Festival will take over St. Albans on April 27 - 29.

Founded on April 22, 1967, the festival has grown by leaps and bounds to include an antiques show, variety show, childrens shows and entertainment, and the coveted crowning of the Best Maple Products contestants - all topped off by the annual Grand Parade on Sunday.

The 2018 Craft & Specialty Food Show will feature more than 60 vendors selling handmade jewelry, unique clothing and home goods, and the freshest maple syrup, candies, desserts, etc.

Entry to the Saint Albans Museum is free on Friday and Saturday during the festival. Treat your family to a stroll through this historic 1861 structure and its collection of exhibits about local and regional history.

There are so many more small wonders to enjoy at the Vermont Maple Festival including cooking demonstrations, chainsaw sculptures by local artist, Mark LeClair, a 21+ maple beverage tasting, and the ever-popular Maple Festival Carnival complete with rides, face painting and games of chance.
