Each QB from the 2016 Patriots is a starter now

Think about this: it's legitimately the new big three.

No, this has nothing to do with the Boston Celtics. It's not like Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish -- or even Paul Pierce, Ricky Davis or Marc Blount for that matter. This is more of like a football big three: the three starting quarterbacks from the 2016 New England Patriots are all set to be starters for NFL teams this season.

That's right, so how about we break it down:

Jacoby Brissett -- So Andrew Luck shocked the world and retired. That means the Colts have to go with the next man up approach and start the guy who is familiar with their system. That means Brissett, who played in all 16 of the team's games in 2017 and threw 13 touchdown passes to just seven interceptions. He had a passer rating above 80, so that's something.

Jimmy Garoppolo --  He suffered from an injury which kept him out for most of last season, but Jimmy G is still the golden boy. In his NFL career, he has attempted 361 passes and completed 65.4 percent of those throws. These have resulted in 17 touchdown passes and just eight interceptions. I'd say that's pretty good.

Tom Brady -- Originally a sixth round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, Brady hopes to beat out Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham for the starting quarterback job for the Patriots this season. Not known for his speed, Brady has suffered an injury in his career and a suspension which have allowed other players the chance to shine -- like the two guys I just mentioned above and Matt Cassel.

Oh yeah, and Matt Cassel is still a free agent, so there is still hope for him too, I guess. That would be epic for sure: four Patriots QBs starting under center. Very cool!
