The PVDFest website proclaims:

"Providence’s world-renowned art, culture and culinary community join forces with artists from across the country and globe to deliver a once in a lifetime experience. Live music, dance, food, and visual art installations transform the city in a four-day, multi-arts take-over of public spaces, parks, and outdoor stages in the heart of Providence, Rhode Island."

Hosted by the City of Providence’s Department of Art, Culture + Tourism and founding creative partner FirstWorks, PVDFest will transform the city's downtown into one massive celebration with performance stages, art galleries, a food village, art installations, block parties, bumper car races and an eccentric parade from Greene Street to Kennedy Plaza.

A diverse range of musicians will perform outdoor concerts of jazz, gospel, funk, rock, country and R & B. The stages will also be graced by speakers and exciting skilled performers like the vaudeville duo, Circus Dynamics.

Best of all, on the second day of the event, dancers from Studio One RI will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the “most people dancing a choreographed Bachata dance".
