Usher In Autumn At The North Adams Annual Fall Foliage Festival

There's nothing like autumn in the Berkshires. The mountains come alive with fiery color, and the community of North Adams come together to make it special.

This year marks the town's 64th annual Fall Foliage Festival and Parade with celebratory events taking place all week leading up to the grand finale.

This year's festivities include 15 different Fall Foliage celebrations including an outdoor showing of "The Wizard of Oz."

2019 marks 80 years since the classic film debuted. It is also the inspiration for this year's parade, aptly titled, "There's No Place Like Home In The Berkshires." It kicks off Sunday October 6 at 1 P.M.

Expect to see lots of yellow brick road and emerald forest-themed floats as well as Dorothy, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow costumes.

Below is a glimpse of last year's dog-themed parade!

Local businesses, food vendors, and everyday citizens will get in on the whimsical action during events such as the children’s fair, annual road race, craft fair, and variety of live performances.

Additional events will include gallery exhibits, train rides, and a dog parade - prepare to see lots of little Totos and Flying Monkeys!

The celebration is a beloved local tradition, but visitors are always welcome. Head out to the Berkshires next week to welcome Autumn 2019 in style!
