Celtics owner sells Vineyard home to Obama

The Martha's Vineyard Times spilled the tea -- and now us normal people know what's going on here.

This is somewhat Boston Celtics related and it has to do with a popular New England vacation spot, so let's just roll with it.

You know Boston Celtics primary owner Wyc Grousbeck? And yes, I had to cut and paste his name off my search engine because there's no way I would've been able to spell or remember that. Anyways, he owns a massive house on Martha's Vineyard. We're talking a property with 29 acres of land. Waterfront property. No, not on the ocean, but rather on Great Pond on Edgartown. But I will spill the tea on that one too: it's a salt water pond because there's about a 75-foot wide opening at the end of it that connects to the Atlantic Ocean.

Anyways, it looks like Obama bought it. That's right, Obama himself. The former president of the United States. I'm not sure what his last name is though. Just kidding, that's his last name. His first name is Barack. Not knowing that can get one slapped, according to the internet.

But yeah, it looks like Grousbeck is going to sell it for $11.75 million -- which he will then hopefully put into the Celtics. Not sure if he will, but one could certainly hope for it.

As for the house itself, here is what CBS Boston (who like me has never stepped foot inside the property, presumably) has to say about it: "the house has 7 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, two guest wings and a private sun deck."

Now that is some fancy stuff, I must admit. From watching Cory in the House growing up, I always knew the president lived in a big house, but I had no idea they did when they retired as well. Interesting.
