Each February, the town of Kennebunkport, Maine celebrates their annual Paint the Town Red celebration. As “New England’s Most Romantic Town,” its no wonder they run with the "red for romance" theme during the Valentine season.
In addition to the twinkling red lights along Dock Square, the shops and restaurants also get in on the festive decorations and events.

A few Boston-area restaurants have embraced the igloo trend to keep their outdoor spaces accessible in winter, but in Kennebunkport, these cozy, custom-decorated igloos are one-of-a-kind!
The clear structures allow panoramic views of the night sky and can host up to eight guests. Order small plates and specialty cocktails from the warmth and comfort of your own personal igloo - each is decked out with throw blankets and fur lined seats.
The Igloo Ice Lounge also offers outdoor fire pit seating, heart-shaped Cornhole boards and board games for maximum entertainment.
The Igloo Ice Lounge is open 4 to 8 pm Sunday through Thursday and 4 to 9pm on Friday and Saturday through the end of March. Reserve one to ensure availability for $275 each.
