4 Can't-Miss Food Festivals Coming To Boston In June

After a long, stubborn winter, spring is in full bloom. Each year the warm weather brings a variety of fairs, festivals, and carnivals.

If you are a foodie, you'll definitely want to check out these four Boston-area food festivals before the end of June - and the official start of summer!

Taste of Somerville

Wednesday, June 12
Assembly Row, 330 Great River Road, Somerville

Taste of Somerville offers guests a bountiful sampling of dishes from the city's eclectic dining scene. This year's event will feature a wide variety of food, craft beer, wine, and cocktails from more than 50 local eateries.

Produced by the Somerville Chamber of Commerce Dining & Nightlife Group, the Taste of Somerville is a unique way to experience the area's dining and nightlife scene.

This year’s vendors include everything from burgers and barbecue to Mexican, Italian, and American fine dining. Several breweries and wineries will also present their best. Check out the entire list of participants and buy your VIP tickets here!

 

Taste of the Seaport

Thursday, June 13
Parcel H at Fan Pier, 1 Marina Park Dr., Boston

Head to beautiful Fan Pier at the Boston Seaport this Thursday to sample sweet and savory creations from the area's best restaurants. The event will feature lawn games, music, and a craft beer garden from Harpoon Brewery.

Vendors include Barking Crab, City Tap, Lolita Fort Point, Ocean Prime, and other Seaport favorites.

 

Boston Pickle Fair

Saturday, June 22
The Innovation and Design Building, 21 Drydock Ave., Boston

If you have a taste for briney, pickled creations, this is the event for you! Due to its past success, this year's third annual fair will offer TWO sessions: one Saturday morning from 10:30 to 1:30, and the other in the afternoon from 2:30 to 5:30.

Sample treats from Grillo’s Pickles, Horman’s Best Pickles, Mamaleh’s Delicatessen, Pickle Me Pete, and many more. This year, Grillo's is teaming up with Down the Road Brewing Company to present a dill pickle sour ale they call Sam-Sam the Pickle Man.

Lamb Jam

Sunday, June 23
The Innovation and Design Building, 21 Drydock Ave., Boston

It may sound like a strange meat to base an entire festival around, but Lamb Jam has become extremely popular across the country with yearly events in Austin, Seattle, DC, San Francisco, and of course, Boston. 

While there is plenty of food to sample at Lamb Jam, it is technically a competition, not a festival. This year, sixteen chefs from across New England will compete with their most savory lamb dishes in four categories — Asian, Latin, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern.
