5 Places to Take Your Kids This Summer

Hey guys, so all of us here at Chowdaheadz love New England, obviously. Our whole staff grew up in the New England area and we are here to help you plan a quick trip with your family. So here are some of our favorite spots to go when we were kids:

1. York, Maine

York beach is perfect for a weekend getaway, or just a day at the beach. With ton of attractions and restaurants, this spot is great to take your kids for a fun, inexpensive time.

 

2. Plymouth, MA

The birthplace of America. This city is historical and fun for everyone. With a simple day trip, you can learn about the pilgrims, enjoy beautiful scenery, and eat some great food.

 

3. Castle Island, South Boston, MA

This place is a gold mine of sights and historical significance. Take your kids around the 22-acre urban park and explore the massive granite fort. After, Take your kids for a bite to eat at Sullivan’s.

 

4. Nantucket, MA

Nantucket is one of the most tourist-ed places in New England. A small Island just off the cost of Cape Cod, this place has so many sights, restaurants and beaches, perfect for a day of getting away. With a large whaling museum, its not a bad place to teach your kids a little history too.

 

5. Gloucester, MA

Gloucester is what you think of when someone says “Fishing Town”. Driving through the town, you can smell all the seafood, hear the boats and, and see the beauty that is the heart of Massachusetts. This town is great to take a walk around, grab a bite to eat, and see all that this harbor town has to offer.
